Cats are obligate carnivores, because they can process and digest meat proper and their body is not apt for digesting plants. The physiology of cat is meat-oriented but plant matter, grass, houseplants, shrubs, leaves and grass are included in the diet. A vegetarian diet is not sufficient as a cat’s diet.
